Didymos is a baby carrier company which is originated in Germany and ships internationally. The woman behind Didymos baby carrier is Erika Hoffman, who considered it necessary to carry her twins while doing the unending housework in 1971.
Once she started to carry her twins with a cloth from Central America, and noticed how the twins liked it, they became popular among other parents in Germany. That’s how she decided to found a baby sling company. The name Didymos is the ancient Greek word for twin.
Didymos baby slings are suitable for all sizes and babies can be carried from birth to 3 years. They are made of organic cotton which is totally healthy for the body. Also, the sling is lightweight and when not used, it can be easily folded into a bag. A unique feature of Didymos wraparound sling is that it can be used as a scarf, swing or hammock as well.

General Features of Didymos Baby Slings
In the production of Didymos baby carriers, a set of criteria is met and below you will read about them.
- The way the fabric is woven makes it elastic and support the body of the baby evenly.
- It is very durable as after long times of usage, stretch and wear is not observed.
- The dyes used in the fabrics are not poisonous, and they are non-allergic to the skin.
- Chemicals, auxiliary materials or other harmful ingredients are not used in the weaving process.
- Didymos slings are washable at 60-95 C.
There are 5 main carry positions with Didymos slings, which are: lying in front, upright in front, upright sideways, on the back and facing outwards. Four different patterns are available. Standard and Stripes, which are made of cross twill fabric, and Indio colored and Jacquard, which are made of jacquard fabric. Furthermore, you can choose from lots of color options.
At present, Didymos offers three types of baby slings: the DidySling, the DidyTai and the limited edition. Below, we will briefly talk about each of them.
The DidySling
DidySling is a ring (aluminum) sling which is easy to use and made from the same fabrics other Didymos slings are made. You can carry your baby in three positions with the DidySling; in front, on the hip and on the back. The ring is either pleated or not pleated depending on your choice.
The DidyTai
DidyTai, an easy to use baby sling which is made from rectangular wrap cloth, can be used from birth to 2 years with the following carry positions: in the front, on the hip and on the back.
Didymos Limited Edition
These are different from regular slings in terms of the materials used and their colors. Linen, silk and cashmere are some of the unique materials that are used in the production of limited edition slings.
