Deuter Baby Carrier Backpack

Deuter is a Germany based outdoor products manufacturer. Their product range includes hiking and trekking backpacks, bike and travel backpacks, sleeping bags, accessories and baby carrier backpacks. They serve worldwide through local stores and online.

Deuter backpack carriers can be divided into two groups. First one is Kid Comfort series which involves Kid Comfort I, Kid Comfort II and Kid Comfort III. The other one is KangaKid. They also offer supplementary carrier accessories like sun roof and rain cover.

Deuter Kid Comfort I

The first carrier in the Kid Comfort series is made of Super-Polytex, a material which is especially suitable for hiking backpacks. And this carrier utilizes Aircomfort Vario-Futura system which allows a better and more comfortable carrying experience. Kid Comfort I is lightweight (4 lbs) and it has an adjustable harness.

It uses the Vari-Quick system that enables a quickly and easily adjustable harness system. Parents can use this carrier for long treks safely and comfortably.

Deuter Kid Comfort III

The third item in the series, with the redesign in 2007 is a full featured baby carrier and is made of Hexlite 210/Ballistic Lite materials. It weighs 6 lbs and has a 48.5 lbs capacity. It has sun roof and double lifting points.

Deuter KangaKid

This one is a smaller backpack carrier compared to Kid Comfort series. It is made of Ballistic Lite and Microrip-Nylon and uses the Aircontact system, which enables ventilation as you walk.
